The town of Cannes

Yours to explore from our residences

Since 1946, Cannes and the world of cinema have gone hand in hand. Once a little fishing village, this major city along the Côte d’Azur attracts stars from the world over and lovers of the Mediterranean. As you stroll along La Croisette, you’ll feel Cannes’ glamourous and heavenly atmosphere. As you stroll along this legendary promenade, the biggest names in movies and the jet set rub shoulders. Under the shade of the palm trees, stairways lead you to the different public and private beaches that you’ll find along this fabulous sea front. After visiting the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, lay down your beach towel on the fine sand and enjoy the atmosphere of la dolce vita in Cannes.

The area where the town started, a stroll through the historic district of Le Suquet allows you to soak up the soul of Cannes and offers an ideal position to admire its bay. An unmissable hill, you can discover Le Suquet by roaming its steep, bright and tranquil streets. Head back down towards the Vieux Port which hosts world-renowned events on the Esplanade Pantiero, including the International Yachting Festival and royal regattas. A bit further afield, you can head towards the Lérins islands of Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat. First, breathe in the fragrances of the state-owned forest with its Aleppo pines and eucalyptus trees, and discover the Fort Royal, a prison reinforced by the military architect the Marquis de Vauban and the place where the legendary Man in the Iron Mask was imprisoned. Then, explore the monuments of the Abbaye de Lérins, a testimony to a wonderful and long history.
